Hunker does not collect any information about you. No account, no analytics, no tracking, and no data sent anywhere. Everything Hunker records stays on your Mac.
Hunker keeps a small amount of data so the timer works across launches. All of it is written inside the app's own sandbox container on your Mac, and none of it leaves the device.
Removing Hunker removes this data with it. You can also clear your preferences at any time from Preferences → Advanced.
This is not only a promise. Hunker is sandboxed and ships without the
com.apple.security.network.client entitlement, so macOS itself prevents
the app from opening a network connection. There is no server to send anything to,
and no code in Hunker that would try.
Concretely, Hunker never:
Hunker Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Your payment details go to Apple and are never seen by Hunker or by its developer. Hunker only asks the operating system whether this Apple Account owns the unlock, and receives a yes or a no. Apple's handling of that transaction is covered by the Apple Privacy Policy.
If you allow notifications, Hunker asks macOS to show one alert when a session or break ends. These are scheduled locally on your Mac. Hunker uses no push notification service, so nothing about your sessions is transmitted in order to deliver them. Declining notifications leaves the rest of the app fully functional.
Hunker Pro can export your session history as a CSV file. You choose when to do this and where the file is saved. It is the only route by which your data leaves the app, and it is never automatic.
Hunker is suitable for all ages and collects no information.
If Hunker ever changes what it stores or gains the ability to reach the network, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the effective date above will change with it.
